BACKGROUND

International Museum Day is an international day coordinated by the International Council of Museums. Held yearly, IMD aims to serve as a platform to raise public awareness on the role museums play in the development of society today. On a national level “Internationaler Museumstag” in Germany requested a new brand identity to strengthen and update their visual out look.

RESULT

Through a close cooperation with Deutscher Museumsbund we held workshops to first create a brand platform to out source and specify the core values of the brand. Throughout the second step by creating a design platform we gave shape to a new logotype, set of colours and illustrations based on the defined inner values. With the visitor as middle point the new designed identity aims to arise a joyful and easy going attitude loaded with curiosity, diversity and community spirit.
